Songs of my heart.

Impractical Dreaming

08 Dec Songs of my heart.

Call me crazy…but I thought you may need some Sunday blues cheering up. So I have a treat for your rainy afternoon. You may actually think it’s stupid. You may not care at all.
And that’s totally cool with me. But I had have this really awesome, growing playlist that I’ve been building on for….oh, I guess about a year now. It’s magnificent, painful, beautiful, disgusting, honest, and raw with emotion.
So I thought I’d share a glimpse of it. You know…for all of us folk who have hours of free time that we don’t know how to fill.
I was babysitting last night…and got a little carried away with myself. So indulge or don’t indulge as you wish. This more or less chronologically tells the emotional journey I’ve been on for the past year. You asked…so here is my response in tunes. I am both a music listener and a lyrical listener…so some of it is genuinely awesome music…but every lyric has a meaning. No doubt.
(If you’ve ever experienced heartache, grief, pain, or despair…there’s a lot here for you.)
[The ( ) explains a snippet of each song’s significance. The * indicates a shorter synopsis of my life for the past year. And if you’re a Spotify people you can find me, “Emily Lorin,” and listen to the playlist “Life,” each of these songs is there in all it’s beautiful glory…you know, in case you’re one of those normal people who never sits down at their computer for extended periods of time and gets lost in YouTube. I hear those still exist.]
Jam on, amigos. Lots of love from my heart to yours.
I wish a cozy and restorative Sunday evening to you. Drink some cocoa. It’s good for your heart.
