A Case of the Incredibles.

11 May A Case of the Incredibles.

This week has been filled with lots of really incredible things…
Incredible thing #1: Sleep. Monday morning started out at 9 o’clock am. I was planning on going to Zumba, but I let myself off the hook because…well, generally I don’t do that.
I was woken up by a phone call from the boy, which is always the perfect way to wake up. I did some dishes, made some phone calls, decided I was still sleepy…so I went back to sleep. I know…you think it’s too incredible to be true. Well it’s not…and it was fantastic. (For the record. I don’t think I’ve ever just gone back to bed and slept for hours like that.)
Incredible thing #2: Beautiful music. I don’t watch Dancing With the Stars, but my mom does. Tonight was the results show and I happened to see just enough to catch a glimpse of this incredible song. I love it. I love everything about it. It makes me happy.

Incredible thing #3: A happy Henry. Last night he looked like this…
He had his head literally in his water bowl for a few minutes…and when that was no longer comfortable…he dragged himself across the floor to his spot on the carpet. His trail of water behind him. (Much better than his previous trail.)
But today he looks like…this…
Although you may not be able to tell…this is his cozy-I-love-my-peaceful-easy-living-life-happy-place for napping.
Incredible Thing #4: Leisurely Reading.
This book was purchased for me at the end of last semester by my super friend Kimber and I have yet to read it. The reason being? Well…I actually don’t have a good one, but I do believe that books serve a purpose…so maybe the timing is good now for me. :) We shall see. Thus far it has been rather hard to get into simply because…it’s a hard read. It is sufficient to say I am looking forward to the redeeming part of the love.
Incredible Thing #5: Not reading for school.
If you can believe it…this…
…THAT is what I have to look forward to for the summer. But that is in a week and a half. And…for a week and a half, I shall continue to enjoy the incredible things that are in and of themselves simple things, but combined with no educational pressures, are precious gifts that a small slice of time off of school can make you appreciate.
Incredible Thing #6: French Vanilla Cupcake by Cakes by Darcy
Darcy’s philosophy? “You are what you eat, so eat something cute.” {Note: This is a misrepresentation of Darcy and her perfectly adorable cakes. This photo was taken after it had been traipsed around in my bag for a quick slip into Target when I didn’t want it to melt in my car.}
For the record, this cupcake was divine. The chocolate icing=amazing.

Incredible Thing #7: Spending time with my best friends.
My faces hogs the picture, but her baby blues steal the show.
Tomorrow Kimber is making the minor trek up to Woodstock and we are having a play date. I am beyond…ecstatic! We are going to have brunch, take lots of pictures, and hopefully enjoy some nice weather that won’t hit a blistering ninety degrees! Either way the day promises to look blissful.

Incredible Thing #8: Exercise.
Since I have had extra time to myself, I have had the pleasure of going to more of my favorite girls classes. This week so far I have done kickboxing (which completely kicked my butt, it was awesome), Zumba (which is a must), Pilates (which is forcing me to review how strong [or weak] my core really is), and tomorrow is Yoga (which just. makes. me. happy!)!
A very Happy Wednesday to you…xxxoo.
