16 Jun Today I am thankful.
…For thirty extra minutes to sleep in…that didn’t even make me late
…For a conversation with a friend that warmed my heart
…For being in a class that opens with a discussion of scripture
“Keep me say, Oh God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing'”
(Psalm 16 to be exact)
…For professors who love people and are passionate about their healing
…For group therapy that pushes the limit
…For wisdom from people with more life experience
…For a tummy-ache from laughter with a friend
…For kind conversation
…For being able to help a stranger
…For a little boy swimming across the pool
when two days ago he screamed, “I’m SCARED. I CAN’T”
…For summer thunder storms
…For lightning that lights an electricity vacant household
…For moments of silent (silent=no television) family time
…For revelations that make me giddy
…For new possibilities
…For a brother who is growing up…and is pretty cool.
…For feeling more free to be me
…For a swim with the cutest puppy in the whole world
…For a boy who sees through my crap
…For another day…to play…
