07 Jul Chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing
For the fourth of July my job was to provide dessert for our picnic and of course, I happily obliged.
Chocolate and butter cream.
I combined this recipe with this recipe and they were deliciously divine. The father does have reasonable (wink) taste is cakes.
I enjoy my cakes (cup size or otherwise) to be very moist. No one likes a dry cake after all.
I baked these little guys 5 minutes less than the authors suggested, but I was still a little disappointed. I think next time I try them I will add 1/4 C. plain applesauce to give them more moisture.
Regardless…they are so yummy to your tummy…and the patriotic colors and silver sprinkles are always very fun too!
