Priscilla

22 Nov Priscilla

I spent the past two days in a car. Not just any car. A convertible Solara. With four other people. Yep, you’re math was correct: five people, four seat belts. Tight squeeze. And illegal. (Shh. Don’t tell.)
Anywho, I only got out of the car for the following reasons:
a) to meet and love Priscilla, that huge-A oak tree up there that’s between 300-400 years old. Yep we went to see her. Her name’s Priscilla. I know because I named her. Isn’t she beautiful? She’s old enough to need a major support bra to prevent (major) sagging, but still a beauty.
b) to eat crab legs, which I have never experienced before. Dee-lish. So incredibly yummy. Worth all the effort it took me to enjoy my meal? Questionable. Worth not feeling super bloated and disgusting from eating past or potatoes and only working for my food? Absolutely.
c) to check out that divine view and sunset above. (Did you know that I love the water? In case you missed it…I. love. it.)
d) to sleep…and start the trek over again.
e) to eat, purchase a candy bar, and keep from going koo-koo.
Moral of the story is…travel with light-hearted people. It’s more fun that way. Always have a gps. (or two. or three. plus printed out directions. and a cell phone…preferably one that’s smart.) Laugh. Laugh a lot…because there is no room for a bad attitude in that small of a space. And also…marvel at beauty.
She’s just loverly.
